Welington Fonseca is the SVP, Global Digital & Customer Relationship Strategy – Shiseido Group. As the SVP, Global Digital & Customer Relationship Strategy for Shiseido Group, Welington leads the building of an state of the art, data-driven, customer Omni-touch point vision that delivers the majority of the direct to consumer sales growth.
Prior to joining Shiseido, Welington was the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Rent the Runway, overseeing all marketing initiatives including acquisition, retention, and content for both online (web, mobile) and brick-and-mortar channels.
Prior to joining Rent the Runway, Welington was the VP of Marketing and Analytics for Gilt Groupe - responsible for all member communications and retention programs as well as customer intelligence and analytics. As Vice President of Marketing at Lord & Taylor he managed its customer acquisition and retention programs. A Director of Marketing at Toys "R"Us, he handled all "R"Us guest programs, including Geoffrey's Birthday Club, Rewards"R"Us, Baby Registry, Wish List, "R" Mobile, and "R"Us Credit Cards.
Welington obtained his bachelor's degree in business from Mackenzie University in his home country Brazil, and his Masters of Business Administration from Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
